All primary schools in London will remain closed for the start of term, Mayor Sadiq Khan has confirmed.
The leaders of eight London boroughs earlier called on the Government to re-examine its policy, with coronavirus infection rates rapidly rising across the capital.
The Department for Education earlier said that primary schools would close in 22 out of London's 32 boroughs.
At an emergency Cabinet Office meeting today, the additional London education authorities were added to the list.
Approximately a million students aged four to 11 will face remote learning from Monday.
The decision is set to be reviewed on January 18.
