Boy, 3, killed in freak lawnmower tragedy after dad ‘reversed’ over son

A toddler has been killed in a freak lawnmower accident after his dad ‘reversed’ over him.

The horrifying accident occurred shortly before 12.30 pm on Saturday (March 11).

A three-year-old boy was rushed to Pambula District Hospital, in New South Wales, Australia with serious injuries.

Despite efforts to save him, the little boy tragically succumbed to his injuries and died shortly after.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a police spokesperson confirmed that the force is investigating the incident.

Both the hospital and the family home are reportedly being treated as crime scenes.

They said: “He [the father] reversed over the poor child. He didn’t see him.

“I don’t think anything you could do to the father would change the way he feels unfortunately”.

Investigations are ongoing and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

Yesterday (Tuesday, March 14) two people were killed and nine others injured after a pick-up truck struck several people.

The vehicle mounted the sidewalk, according to local witnesses, with two of the nine injured said to be in a serious condition.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested as cops investigate whether the driver deliberately drove into people.
