Denver ranks among top 10 cities for an active lifestyle
A WalletHub study ranks Denver as the 8th best city in the country for an active lifestyle.
The study sought to determine where Americans have the best chance of remaining active despite the pandemic by using 36 key metrics. WalletHub compared the 100 biggest U.S. cities on data ranging from the average monthly fitness-club fee and the number of basketball hoops to bike scores and the prevalence of COVID-19.
The personal-finance website WalletHub released the study Wednesday to support many having the New Year’s resolution of losing weight and exercising more.
Denver was among the best for swimming pools, fitness centers and public golf courses per capita, placing within the top 10 in the country for those statistics.
The top five American cities for an active lifestyle:
1: Honolulu, HI
2: Portland, OR
3: San Diego, CA
4: San Francisco, CA
5: Chicago, IL
Colorado Springs came in at No. 42 and Aurora at 69 in the same study.
