Hague stabbing: Attacker goes on knife rampage with several casualties
Police are hunting for a man of "North African descent" who went on the rampage in the Dutch city of the The Hague attacking several people out shopping with a knife.
The city is on high alert as security forces are reportedly searching for a man in his 40s.
He is believed to have been wearing a tracksuit and a shawl.
The Hague police said they were seeking a man aged 45-50 and described him using a Dutch term often applied to people of North African descent.
The man reportedly launched the attack in a department store and it is unclear at this stage the state of the injured.
The incident happened at the Hudson's Bay store in the city's Grote Markt or main market square area, local reports say.
Social media images show people fleeing the scene during the attack.
Police have urged the public to contact them if they see anyone matching the description of the suspect.
They also want anyone with images or video content of the incident to send it to them.
