Moment Brit is shot down outside 5-star Argentina hotel in ‘robbery gone wrong’
Horrifying footage shows the moment two British tourists were shot during a botched robbery in Argentina that left one dead and the other seriously injured.
CCTV shows how the two men were ambushed in broad daylight as they were about to check into a five-star Faena Art Hotel in Puerto Madero – an upscale district in Buenos Aires, at 11am yesterday.
The victims – reported to be a father, 50, and stepson, 28 – were shot after they resisted their attackers sparking a brawl in the middle of the street.
One brave women attempts to intervene in the terrifying situation as the attackers produce a gun and shoot both men.
The assailants then flee from the scene on a motorcycle as one of the tourists is seen lying badly hurt on the ground.

The deceased man, 50, was rushed to hospital after a bullet entered his body through his right armpit and went into his chest, possibly into his lung.
The second victim, 28, was shot in the thigh but the bullet missed his femoral artery and is continuing to receive treatment in hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to reports.
Authorities say that the men may have been spotted and targeted as soon as they landed at the Ezeiza International Airport that morning, according to Perfil newspaper .
A witness told Canal America 24 that there was a commotion outside the hotel and he saw a person covered in blood on the ground as they were given medical treatment.
The witness, named only as Florencia, added: “When I reached the corner of the hotel I saw that there was a person lying at the front door and they were being attended to.
"A motorcycle passed, wanted to steal and shot them.
"After 15 minutes, paramedics came to assist them. It was very serious what happened. The delinquents escaped. It is supposed to be a safe area and is monitored by the Prefecture."
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We are supporting the family of two British men following an incident in Buenos Aires, and are in contact with the local authorities there.
The shooting happened in Puerto Madero, a revitalised dockside area which lures tourists with its Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve and upscale hotels and restaurants.
It believed the men were checking into a £350-a-night Faena Art Hotel, which has been named one of the best hotels in Argentina.
It is set within the historic El Porteno building, a former grain warehouse made of imported Manchester bricks that was saved from the wrecking ball in 1998.
