Prince Harry jets out to Canada with Meghan Markle after sorting Megxit
Prince Harry has jetted out to join up with his family in Canada after saying he had “no option” but to step back from royal life.
The Duke of Sussex met with Boris Johnson and African leaders in a summit before heading off on an afternoon flight to north America to meet up with Meghan Markle and son Archie.
It is reported that he was so keen to head out that he missed a Buckingham Palace reception that he was due to co-host.
Harry had a 20 minute chat with the prime minister in a private room at the Intercontinental Hotel during a UK-Africa Investment Summit, in London, on Monday morning.

While they talked about the prince’s charity work in Africa, it is believed they also discussed the royal split with the Sussexes leaving the UK to live in Canada and step back from royal senior royals.
Harry then spoke with his advisors over how his and Meghan’s royal affairs will be managed when they are in Canada, before he flew out from Heathrow for Victoria.
Instead William and Kate have stepped in to front the UK-Africa event held at Buckingham Palace, along with Prince Edward, his wife Sophie, and Princess Anne.
William told guests: “The African continent holds a very special place in my heart. It is the place my father took my brother and me shortly after our mother died.”
Harry has spent the past 11 days making arrangements in the UK before returning to Canada and he is expected to be backwards and forwards over the coming months.
Over Christmas Harry and Meghan stayed at a mansion on Vancouver Island and Archie has not been in the UK so far this year.
Meghan Markle returning to UK for final royal farewell with Prince Harry
There is speculation that the Harry and Meghan could make the island their home base although the Duchess is keen on Toronto where she filmed Suits.
Meghan has said she likes Toronto for its lack of media intrusion.
She said: “It’s really funny because I think as much of a big city as Toronto is, it’s so different from LA or New York. There (are) no paparazzi so it’s really easy to just have a normal life.”
Harry has headed out with reports that he and his brother have ended their two year feud after deciding it was “now or never”.
It is thought that Harry still doesn’t see eye to eye with his father.
