President Trump visited Robert at New York Presbyterian Hospital on Friday before golfing at his club in Bedminster, New Jersey over the weekend.

Robert Trump passed away due to brain bleeds from a recent fall.

His cause of death has not yet been officially revealed.

The president visited him Friday evening at the New York Presbyterian Hospital following the news of his brother's admission to the hospital. 

Earlier this year, Robert spent at least 10 days in a neurosciences intensive care unit (NSICU) at Mount Sinai hospital in New York.

How old was he when he died?

Robert Trump died at 71 years old. 

Robert resided in Millbrook, New York, in the Hudson Valley and served as an executive vice president of the Trump Organization.

In June, he filed a temporary restraining order in an attempt to block the publication of his niece Mary Trump’s tell-all book.

Robert Trump told The New York Times before he died that he was "deeply disappointed" in Mary's decision to publish the book.

What did President Trump say about his brother’s death?

President Trump announced in a statement on Friday that his brother had passed saying: "It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight. 

“He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. 

“He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. 

“His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace," the President said.

Two of Donald Trump's children also expressed their sadness about their uncle's death.

"Robert Trump was an incredible man – strong, kind and loyal to the core. Anyone who encountered him felt his warmth immediately. He will be deeply missed by our entire family," Eric Trump tweeted.

"Uncle Robert, we love you. You are in our hearts and prayers, always," added Ivanka Trump.

When is Robert Trump’s funeral?

No immediate details of Robert’s funeral have been released.

However, Friday August 21 has been set as the tentative funeral date. 

“We may do just a small service right here in the White House for my brother,” Trump said on the White House South Lawn on Monday.

“I think it would be appropriate, so we’ll have it probably on Friday afternoon, a small service in honor of my brother, Robert,” he said.

Did he have a wife?

Robert Trump was previously married to Blaine Beard Trump in 1980 and divorced in 2009.

In 2020 he married Anne Marie Pallan, a former employee of the Trump Organization. 

The two remained together until his death. 

How many siblings did he have?

Robert was one of the four siblings to President Trump.

Trump's three older siblings are Maryanne, Fred Jr, and Elizabeth.
