William ‘wants Harry to put a sock in it’ with family bashing, claims expert

In Prince Harry's Apple TV documentary 'The Me You Can’t See' he spoke incredibly candidly about his mental health and past struggles.

While he was widely applauded for his openness he was also criticised for the exploitative documentary, with many finding the film self-indulgent.

In one of the programme's most revealing moments Prince Harry described how he felt about being in the Royal Family.

"I always wanted to be normal. As opposed to being Prince Harry, being Harry. It was a puzzling life," he said.

While many would agree Prince Harry's life has been "puzzling" and at times deeply traumatic one royal expert believes that Prince William's troubles are often overshadowed by his younger brothers.

Royal author Phil Sampier told New Idea Royals Monthly magazine: “He [William] lost his mother as well and has the added burden of being a future king.

“William has said that he didn’t want Diana’s death to destroy him, and so he made a conscious effort to cope and get on with his life.”

Sampier believes that Prince William would be left feeling confused as to why Harry needs to speak out again his family so publicly.

“William just wishes his brother would put a sock in it. He must find it hard to understand why Harry keeps bashing his own blood family.”

There are however signs that the frosty relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry may be starting to thaw.

Progress particularly seems to have been made when the siblings came together to unveil Princess Diana's statue, an extremely important day for both young men.

According to US Weekly a source said: "William and Harry spent the morning before the statue unveiling looking through old keepsakes, notes from Diana and bonding

“They have absolutely turned a new page in their relationship and have started the healing. Everyone around them was thrilled to see how close they were on the day of the statue unveiling.”
