Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann has ‘lots to reveal’ after meeting psychic

The Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann has said she has "lots to reveal" after finally meeting the private investigator and psychic looking into her claims.

Julia Wendell, 21, went viral after sharing "evidence" on Instagram suggesting she is Madeleine, who went missing on a family holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007.

Self-professed medium Dr Fia Johansson, who has worked with police in the US on missing persons cases in the past, sent an investigative team to a town near the Poland-Germany border to look into the claims.

These include Julia saying she doesn't remember large parts of her childhood and that she was abused by a German paedophile who looks like someone who was once a suspect in Madeleine's disappearance.

She also said she had a speck in her eye similar to the missing girl from Leicestershire.

Dr Johansson has now flown to Poland herself, with Julia sharing footage of them meeting on her Instagram Story.

She wrote on one post: "We have lots to reveal.

"I was with her team in the past couple of days now my dream come true I am finally with Fia.

"Finally, I'm with Dr. Fia [sic]."

In subsequent posts she described it as her "luckiest day ever", adding she will be "forever thankful".

Dr Johansson previously said Julia's parents were refusing to take a DNA test.

There were also reports she was contemplating legal action in order to force their hand.

Speaking to RadarOnline, she said her team of investigators had spotted dodgy emails and messages sent to Julia while probing her claims.

She told the publication: "My investigators found out three paedophiles were trying to lure Julia to hotels saying they were McCann family friends trying to solve the Madeleine mystery. It is truly a sad situation."

Dr Johansson has revealed details around where Julia was raised, suggesting she could have gone unnoticed as a child if she was actually Madeleine.

Speaking to the Fitzy and Wippa radio show she said: “They are living in a very small town where they wouldn't have had TV or news going on.

“It is not like other places that are big cities, it was a very, very, very small town.

“We are investigating right now her teachers, her school, friends and also close family members to figure out what exactly is going on.

“There's a lot of people who say 'oh she's 21, she shouldn't be 21', but…a fake birth certificate could be two years younger or two years older, especially when you're talking about that town and that place.

“My sense is that something is missing – there is a puzzle that is not really connecting with each other.”
