The competition aimed at combating the consequences of the coronavirus in Ukraine. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sergey Tokarev<\/strong>, a partner of Cyprus IT Forum and one of the investors of RefaceAl, a Ukrainian IT company, shared the names of five winners of the national competition, #HackCorona. The competition aimed at combating the consequences of the coronavirus in Ukraine.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What was the #HackCorona Competition?<\/strong><br \/>The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine initiated a hackathon named #HackCorona with the support of EGAP. The purpose of the competition was to overcome the consequences of the coronavirus in Ukraine. According to the competition organizers, 899 young IT teams participated in the competition. All of these young startups came up with an innovative project to help fight against the consequences of the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The competitors presented their amazing projects including electronic, social, educational, and administrative solutions to combat the crisis. The purpose of their projects was to help the country to recover from the lockdown. The prize fund for the winners of the competition was set 4 million hryvnias ($143000 USD) in the beginning.&nbsp;Sergey Tokarev, an IT businessman and investor, joined the jury of the competition at the final stage. He added 1 million hryvnias ($35000 USD) to the prize fund.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Five Winners of the Competition<\/strong><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.talk-finance.co.uk\/moderntech\/sergey-tokarev-tells-about-the-hackcorona-startup-competition-and-its-winners\/\">Sergey Tokarev<\/a> found five projects most interesting and useful among all the projects. He joined the competition as a member of the jury in the final round. Tokarev said, &ldquo;I learned about the competition when there were 22 teams remained in the final.&rdquo; He liked most of the ideas presented by the competitors. He added, &ldquo;I offered to help teams with consultations and increase the total prize pool.&rdquo; The Ministry supported his idea and allowed him to meet the teams that he found most interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Tokarev liked the VUIKO project the most. It is a startup based on the idea of creating a marketplace for farm products. Tokarev said that the idea of VUIKO had the commercial value in the case of its successful implementation. He supported the project as it was useful for the farmers and entrepreneurs. He also supported two more projects including &ldquo;Sluhai&rdquo; and &ldquo;KAZKOZVUK&rdquo;. Both of these projects are based on the idea of creating audiobooks.&nbsp;Sergey Tokarev&nbsp;said, &ldquo;These projects are educational, and they popularize literature in Ukrainian.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Tokarev said that they were working on the LuckyBooks project since 2017. The aim of this project is to publish and distribute literature among the teenagers in the Ukrainian language for free, according to the RefaceAl investor. These three projects were approved by the jury at the final stage of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The other two winners of the hackathon were the SkillAR and Digital Women 2020 projects. The SkillAR project focused on the creation of a mobile platform for interactive distance learning by using augmented reality. On the other hand, Digital Women 2020 focused on the stimulation of the development of small and medium-sized women businesses in the crisis.
