The purpose of their projects was to help the country to recover from the lockdown. The prize fund for the winners of the competition was set 4 million hryvnias ($143000 USD) in the beginning. Sergey Tokarev, an IT businessman and investor, joined the jury of the competition at the final stage. He added 1 million hryvnias ($35000 USD) to the prize fund.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine initiated a hackathon named #HackCorona with the support of EGAP. The purpose of the competition was to overcome the consequences of the coronavirus in Ukraine. According to the competition organizers, 899 young IT teams participated in the competition. All of these young startups came up with an innovative project to help fight against the consequences of the pandemic.<\/p>\n
