A married couple with three children have made a shocking discovery after taking a DNA test.<\/p>\n
Celina and Joseph Quinones from Colorado, USA, had been an item for 17 years and married for ten when Celina decided she wanted to learn more about her family history.<\/p>\n
The mum-of-three didn\u2019t get far into her ancestry journey before making a truly earth-shattering find – Joseph, her husband, was also her cousin.<\/p>\n
As if that wasn\u2019t bizarre enough, Celina decided to publicise the revelation on TikTok under the handle @realestatemommas.<\/p>\n
She wrote: \u201cMarried my husband in 2006. Not thinking anything of it we had three kids. Come to find out we were related and cousins.\u201d<\/p>\n

She encouraged other couples to check their own family trees.<\/p>\n The social media clip quickly set the internet on fire and it now has more than four million views.<\/p>\n Unsurprisingly, many people think the relationship between the relatives should not continue.<\/p>\n Celina, describing the \u201cdevastating\u201d moment she found out her husband was a blood relative, she said: \u201cThis was three kids in that I found out we were related.<\/p>\n “I did my DNA test I think in 2016 and yeah it was devastating because I was like: ‘babe we’re related are we even supposed to be together? More info<\/p>\n However Celina and Joseph decided to look past the issue and continue their union.<\/p>\n She said: \u201cI wouldn’t change it for the world… Cousband and wife for life! There is a reason why good couples look alike. I am just over here raising awareness.\u201d<\/p>\n Explaining how they moved past the challenge, she wrote: \u201cMy kids and my husband are my everything and we looked past it. All our kids have 10 fingers and 10 toes. It’s a good ice breaker lol.<\/p>\n In a second clip, it becomes clear that Celina and Joseph were blissfully unaware of their close relation and went out for four months before getting engaged.<\/p>\n She said: \u201c17 years with my cousband. No, we didn’t know till we did a DNA test. We had a four-month courtship before we got married. He is still and will be my everything. I ain’t gonna let a little bit of blood destroy what we created, this beautiful family.\u201d<\/p>\n Celina fronted up to those that reacted negatively to her and Joseph staying together and said she doesn\u2019t care what other people think.<\/p>\n She wrote: \u201cLet me divorce him because we didn’t know. Let me just tell our kids their parents are not together anymore because of other people’s opinions.<\/p>\n \u201cNo thank you we will just be staying cousins, spouses and lovers forever.
