joy after her quadriplegic son was taken to a brothel after not feeling the touch of a woman for 12 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Gail and her son Jake visited Le Penthouse Suites at Tweed Heads, in NSW, while filming a video with famous fisherman Willem Powerfish.<\/p>\n<p>The topic of Jake&#8217;s sex life had come up in conversation when the group were out on a fishing trip moments earlier.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I asked Jake&#8217;s mum about his girlfriends and she told me he hadn&#8217;t been with anyone since his accident,&#8217; Powerfish explained.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;So I brought it up with his mum to take him to the brothel.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Jake&#8217;s life drastically changed after he was involved in a horrific crash with the young man confined to a wheelchair and only able to control his mouth and thumbs.<\/p>\n<p>The trio, along with Jake&#8217;s carer and best mate, were on Jake&#8217;s first fishing trip in 12 years when his mother made the heartbreaking admission about his love life.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/24\/01\/74662619-12439069-image-m-35_1692835528334.jpg\" height=\"632\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jake (above) was left\u00a0quadriplegic after a car crash on New Year&#8217;s Eve in 2012, he\u00a0only has control of his mouth and thumbs<\/p>\n<p>Powerfish decided to cut the fishing trip short and instead offered to take Jake to a nearby brothel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;You can decide if you like the woman or not, if you don&#8217;t like it you don&#8217;t have to do it but I&#8217;m very happy to shout you a session,&#8217; he told Jake.<\/p>\n<p>Footage shows Jake going into the brothel while his mum commented on how &#8216;happy&#8217; he looked and thanked Powerfish.<\/p>\n<p>Gail later teared up when she recalled what the woman said after Jake&#8217;s session.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;She said she did a few things and then it was very erect so she got on top and he did the whole thing,&#8217; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Thank you [Powerfish], so much.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Le Penthouse Suites bills itself as the most &#8216;premium brothel on the Gold Coast&#8217; that offers &#8216;the most luxurious and erotic sexual experiences&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The venue includes a &#8216;punishment room&#8217; and &#8216;The Manhattan Club Strip Club&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Powerfish later explained his conversation with Gail about taking Jake to a brothel where she&#8217;d admitted they&#8217;d never discussed it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I asked Gail, you know, have you taken him to one of those places and she said no,&#8217; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;She&#8217;d never actually brought it up with him in 12 years.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jake&#8217;s mother, Gail (above), said she&#8217;d previously wanted to take him to a brothel but &#8216;didn&#8217;t know how to broach the subject&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/24\/01\/74662617-12439069-image-m-37_1692835568712.jpg\" height=\"815\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>After visiting the brothel, Gail said, &#8216;I hope it gets through to some people that even though we have brain injuries or impairments, we still have needs&#8217; (pictured, Jake)<\/p>\n<p>Gail said she&#8217;d previously wanted to talk with Jake about going to a brothel but &#8216;didn&#8217;t know how to broach the subject&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I hope it gets through to some people that even though we have brain injuries or impairments, we still have needs,&#8217; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Jake&#8217;s friend, Kyle, recalled how the tragic car crash unfolded.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The night Jake got hurt he range me about 2.30am and said, &#8220;I&#8217;m coming over&#8221;,&#8217; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It was New Year&#8217;s, 2012, and I said, &#8220;No, we&#8217;re already in bed and you shouldn&#8217;t be driving&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think an hour or two later someone found him on the side of the road, [he&#8217;d] hit a power pole.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I try to tell everyone he&#8217;s still the same bloke, he might be able to run around and do the same sh** we do but he can still laugh at it, you know?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/24\/02\/74664457-12439069-image-a-40_1692839576324.jpg\" height=\"635\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The group visited Le Penthouse Suites at Tweed Heads (pictured left to right &#8211; Kyle, Gail, Jake and Powerfish)<\/p>\n<p>Before his internet fame, Powerfish worked in disability care and saw firsthand how families often struggle to broach the topic of sexuality.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I used to work in disability support and one of our patients had cerebral palsy and we used to take him to the brothel,&#8217; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;m hoping people who see this and do have family members with impairments of any sort&#8230; We&#8217;re all human and we all
