{"id":213812,"date":"2023-08-30T11:21:02","date_gmt":"2023-08-30T11:21:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bestwnews.com\/?p=213812"},"modified":"2023-08-30T11:21:02","modified_gmt":"2023-08-30T11:21:02","slug":"elton-john-is-treated-in-hospital-after-suffering-a-fall-at-his-villa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bestwnews.com\/celebrities\/elton-john-is-treated-in-hospital-after-suffering-a-fall-at-his-villa\/","title":{"rendered":"Elton John is treated in hospital after suffering a fall at his villa"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Elton John, 76, is treated overnight in hospital after suffering a fall at his villa in Nice<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Elton has been spending the summer in France after wrapping his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Elton John was hospitalised on Sunday night after suffering a fall at his villa in Nice.<\/p>\n<p>The music legend, 76, was taken to the orthopedic department of the Princess Grace hospital center in Monaco where he was checked over.<\/p>\n<p>A representative for Elton confirmed to MailOnline that he was discharged on Monday morning and is now back at home in &#8216;good health.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a statement they said: &#8216;We can confirm that following a slip yesterday at his home in the south of France, Elton visited the local hospital as a precautionary measure.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Following check ups, he was immediately discharged this morning and his now back at home and in good health.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/28\/14\/74795763-12453267-image-a-9_1693227941402.jpg\" height=\"424\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>On the mend:\u00a0Elton John, 76, was hospitalised on Sunday after suffering a fall at his villa in Nice<\/p>\n<p>A source in Nice said: &#8216;He had a small domestic accident at his villa in Mont-Boron.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He was hospitalised in the orthopaedic department of the Princess Grace Hospital, but was only slightly injured.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He had a brain scan and a lumbar scan, which revealed no fractures.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Elton has been spending the summer in France with his husband David Furnish and their two sons after wrapping up his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July.<\/p>\n<p>He was last seen enjoying a relaxing day on his superyacht with a host of A-List pals in St Tropez on August 22.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Elton was also spotted having\u00a0dinner with Kevin Spacey in Nice earlier this month after the actor was cleared of sex attacks on four men.<\/p>\n<p>While Elton hasn&#8217;t ruled out releasing new music in the future, he&#8217;s decided to retire from touring\u00a0to spend more time with David and their kids.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8216;Touring is exhausting for me now, and it takes me away from my family and my children.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/28\/14\/74600997-12453267-Fun_in_the_sun_Elton_John_76_pictured_and_husband_David_Furnish_-a-24_1693228427753.jpg\" height=\"1062\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Injury:\u00a0The music legend (pictured in August 22 in St Tropez) was taken to the orthopedic department of the Princess Grace hospital center in Monaco where he was checked over\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/28\/14\/74796011-12453267-image-m-26_1693228692605.jpg\" height=\"561\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Taking a break:\u00a0Elton has been spending the summer in France with his husband David Furnish and their two sons after wrapping up his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July<\/p>\n<p>However, Elton added that he hasn&#8217;t given up performing for good and will likely still play &#8216;the odd show&#8217; every now and then.<\/p>\n<p>Family is important to Elton who previously called his sons &#8216;the greatest thing&#8217; in he and husband David&#8217;s lives.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2016, he said: &#8216;If you&#8217;d had said to me ten years ago I&#8217;d be sitting on your show married to the man I love and have two beautiful children I would have said, &#8216;You put acid in my drink.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;But life throws you challenges and life throws you curveballs \u2014 great curveballs \u2014 and these two children have come along at a time I never thought I&#8217;d have children.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There&#8217;s no words to describe how much we love these boys.
