Elon Musk, chief executive officer of X.<\/span>Credit: <\/span>Bloomberg<\/cite><\/p>\n The non-profit organisation has been \u201ctrying to kill\u201d the platform since he bought it last year, by \u201cfalsely accusing\u201d it and him of being anti-Semitic, he said, adding that legal action was one possible option if it persisted with its accusations.<\/p>\n Musk said he was \u201cpro free speech\u201d but against anti-Semitism \u201cof any kind.\u201d<\/p>\n The ADL has said that reports of harassment and extremist content on the platform have spiked since Musk\u2019s takeover.<\/p>\n While X no longer needs to bring US advertising revenue back to prior levels in order to survive, it \u201cwould be nice\u201d to see the numbers bounce back, Musk added in another post.<\/p>\n He emphasised the need for X to be a public forum for all and suggested that the ADL express its demands openly and explicitly.<\/p>\n \u201cIn my opinion, they are excessive, but perhaps the public will agree with them,\u201d Musk said.<\/p>\n
