{"id":214075,"date":"2023-09-07T07:29:55","date_gmt":"2023-09-07T07:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bestwnews.com\/?p=214075"},"modified":"2023-09-07T07:29:55","modified_gmt":"2023-09-07T07:29:55","slug":"sex-offender-who-identifies-as-a-woman-groped-prison-officer-serving-breakfast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bestwnews.com\/world-news\/sex-offender-who-identifies-as-a-woman-groped-prison-officer-serving-breakfast\/","title":{"rendered":"Sex offender who identifies as a woman groped prison officer serving breakfast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A sex offending lag who identifies as a woman was caught groping a female prison officer serving breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>And 27-year-old Katana Paris, who was born a man, also assaulted a male officer at Forest Bank prison in Salford.<\/p>\n<p>The prisoner carried out the sexual assaults while they were part way through a three-year sentence for another sexual assault, but this time it was on a nurse.<\/p>\n<p><b>READ MORE: Mum fumes as daughter sent home from school for wearing \u00a3100 Vivienne Westwood shoes<\/b><\/p>\n<p>They have had another six months added to their sentence as a result of the latest incident, the Manchester Evening News reports.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecuting, Megan Edwards told Manchester Crown Court how Paris carried out the assault.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Edwards said: \u201cShe [the officers] approached the defendant&apos;s cell and unlocked the door in order to serve her breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe [Paris] stepped out of the cell, which was unusual, as prisoners would normally remain in their cell.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article30881606.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/1_MEN_Prison-01.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe [the officer] asked the defendant to move back, but the request was ignored.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe defendant then placed a hand on her hand, before sliding her fingers between her knuckles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe officer moved away and the two prisoners helping [out with breakfast service] gave Paris with her breakfast, who then &apos;jumped up and down like she was excited&apos;.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was at this point that Paris approached the female officer and \u201ctouched her genitals\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A similar incident occurred the next day, when Paris launched their right hand through the food hatch and grabbed a male officer&apos;s genitals.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article30881609.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/1_MEN_Prison-02.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/incoming\/article30878804.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/4_AHP_CHP_20941.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> Brit soldier accused of terror plot escapes from jail as UK airports put on alert<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the trial, it emerged that Paris actually has 87 offences on their record, including sexual assault by touching.<\/p>\n<p>Sentencing, the Recorder of Manchester, Judge Nicholas Dean KC, said: &quot;Prison officers are placed in a vulnerable position, they are described as emergency workers.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;They are in a situation where they are vulnerable to these sorts of assaults and they deserve and require the protections of the courts when assaults such as this happen.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I have read and considered a presentence report, and I am not convinced you have shown any significant remorse.
