An 11-year-old girl attacked by the controversial XL bully dog breed has spoken out about the fear she felt when the beast attacked her.<\/p>\n
Ana Paun was set upon by an American Bully XL dog near her home in Birmingham at the weekend.<\/p>\n
It took help from locals to get the dog off her, but it also bit two men in the process.<\/p>\n

The attack \u2013 the latest in a long line of them to make headlines in the UK in recent weeks \u2013 has now seen the Government look at banning them.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the attack, Ana said: \u201cAt the time I just felt panic.<\/p>\n
\u201cI went to the shop with my sister and the dog was staring at me.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe jumped on my arm and bit me \u2013 it was so scary, I was screaming, He let my arm go and then bit my shoulder.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel a bit better now and I went with the ambulance.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ana is very clear what she thinks should happen to the dog \u2013 \u201cI want him to go away, to die,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
She also called on the owner of the dog to be put in prison, as she has claimed that he they didn't do anything to stop the attack.<\/p>\n
Her mother Monica, is not of the same opinion as her daughter, and doesn't blame the dog.<\/p>\n
She told the Daily Mail: \u201c'I don't want the dog to be destroyed, it's the owner who is at fault. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey shouldn't be walking around with such a dangerous dog, especially one that isn't on a lead or muzzled.<\/p>\n
\u201cAna is doing OK, she is a strong girl.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe've had visits from friends and family, who have been worried sick, and she has also been on FaceTime chats with her schoolmates to show them she's OK.<\/p>\n
\u201cI shudder to think what could have happened . . . it doesn't bear thinking about.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ana spent a day in hospital, and was sent home the same night.<\/p>\n
She suffered bite wounds on her arm, and is now on antibiotics.<\/p>\n

Home Secretary Suella Braverman is leading the calls to have the dog breed banned, after Ana's story went viral.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cThis is appalling. The American XL bully is a clear and lethal danger to our communities, particularly to children.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can't go on like this.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have commissioned urgent advice on banning them.\u201d<\/p>\n
The bully was initially taken to a local vet to be checked over before being taken into secure kennels. It's owner has been spoken to by officers from West Midlands Police.<\/p>\n
A force spokesperson added: "The dog was seized by officers and taken to a vet suffering from heat exhaustion. He has now been taken into secure kennels and our dog unit will consider what will happen to it. <\/p>\n
"The dog's owner is currently in hospital and we will be speaking to him in due course.<\/p>\n
"This was an alarming and shocking incident on a busy road in high temperatures and members of the public showed immense courage in tackling such a ferocious dog."<\/p>\n
