Casual: As he grabbed a cup of coffee in New York City, the actor, 65, kept a low profile as he walked down the street in a red jacket over a maroon t-shirt

Thoughtful gesture: At one point, he stopped to chat with a pink-haired woman, who sported a black leather jacket over a long floral dress

As he made his way home to his wife, Hilaria, and their seven kids, the Emmy Award winner carried a black plastic bag full of purchases from a local bodega.

His latest sighting comes after he vowed to fight potential new charges related to a fatal shooting on the set of his movie Rust over the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins earlier this month.

The actor was previously charged with involuntary manslaughter in January before the charges were dropped in April.

Just two weeks ago, prosecutors in New Mexico announced they will present a renewed case against Baldwin to a grand jury, with special prosecutors in the case seeking to recharge him.

Baldwin’s attorney Luke Nikas said his client will fight the case in court if he is charged.

Baldwin has fought the on-off charges of involuntary manslaughter since October 21, 2021, when he fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while filming a scene in a church.

The actor was holding a Colt. 45 revolver when it fired a live round into director Joel Souza’s shoulder and another at Hutchins.

Hutchins was rushed to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

It remains unclear how live ammunition was brought onto the set or loaded into the firearm.

Baldwin was interviewed by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office following the tragedy, and has steadfastly pleaded his innocence and insists that the gun fired spontaneously.

The first prosecutor to take on the case, Andrea Reeb, investigated the shooting for a year before she decided to charge Baldwin, while also giving numerous interviews to the press.

Baldwin and his legal team branded the official’s stance as unfair and argued that he was being made an example of by a fame-hungry prosecutor.

Reeb would go on to resign from the case, before Mary Carmack-Altwies, the Santa Fe District Attorney, also withdrew after a judge determined she could not team up with a special prosecutor.

‘Carmack-Altwies had said that her office was too understaffed to handle the case without outside help,’ Variety reported.

In January, the actor was eventually charged with involuntary manslaughter, but the charges were dropped in April of this year after arguments were laid out over the functionality of the gun on the set.

Baldwin’s attorneys stated that the gun may have been altered before he handled it, causing it to malfunction when the trigger was pulled.

By August a report was made public that determined that the revolver had not been modified, and the trigger had to have been pulled for it to fire.

If convicted, the father and actor could face up to 18 months in prison (Baldwin seen with his wife Hilaria and their seven at a film festival in East Hampton on October 7

Following further investigations, Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis, the special prosecutors in the case, announced that they will present a renewed argument to a grand jury in the next two months.

‘This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled,’ Morrissey and Lewis said.

If convicted, the father-of-eight could be jailed to up to 18 months.

Baldwin has continued to argue that he bears no responsibility for the shooting, and his attorney Nikas said on Tuesday he intends to fight the case in court if the charges are brought.

‘It is unfortunate that a terrible tragedy has been turned into this misguided prosecution. We will answer any charges in court,’ the attorney said.

An accident: Baldwin was interviewed by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office following the tragedy, and has steadfastly pleaded his innocence and insists that the gun fired spontaneously

In February, his wife made a lengthy social-media post expressing love for her husband.

‘But here we are…still standing, surrounded by all of you amazing humans, our tiny babes…and together,’ she stated. ‘In it with you, Alec…I’m here, we are here…never alone.’

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the films armorer, in charge of the safety of the cast and crew was also charged with involuntary manslaughter.

She is set to face trial next February.

Dave Halls, Rust’s assistant director, accepted a plea deal on a charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon.

In March, Halls was sentenced to six months of supervised probation.
