A glamorous Aussie influencer has shared terrifying footage of herself getting attacked by a magpie during her ‘hot girl walk’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sarah Jade, 24, recounted the moment on TikTok, saying she was ‘traumatised’ by the encounter with the angry bird who almost pecked her eye out.<\/p>\n
In the footage, Sarah is seen cowering in fear after the magpie attacks her in the eye with its beak partially lodged in her eye socket.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘This would be one of the most traumatic things to happen to me. One, I am scared of birds. Two, it literally went in my eye,’ she told viewers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘I actually didn’t realise it went in my eye. I thought it just hit me in the side of the face til I watched back the video. I’m traumatised. I feel sick.’\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sarah admitted she didn’t want to show the footage to her followers, but felt like she had to as a word of warning.<\/p>\n
‘It literally went in my eye. I actually can’t. It is so disgusting,’ she said, zooming into the bird pecking at her eye ball.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Peak breeding season for magpies is August through to November, which is usually when swooping begins.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

A number of viewers disputed the bird was a magpie, instead identifying it as a magpie lark which are not known to attack people.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sarah later showed her inflamed eye, saying she was scared about a possible infection from the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I was spiralling hard last night. I looked up birds have so much bacteria and I was going to go to the hospital today if my eyes was going to fall out of my face,’ she said.<\/p>\n
The influencer said she has now modified her ‘hot girl walks’ nowadays.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘I’m not going for my hot girl walks anymore without a hat and sunglasses,’ she finished.\u00a0<\/p>\n
