The actress, 47, shared the happy news to Instagram alongside a sweet photo of herself and their latest addition to the family.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Keeley could be seen as she cradled her dog, Buster, while another gigantic fluffy animal took centre stage in the comedic snap.<\/p>\n
She captioned the photo: ‘Thank you Battersea for the newest member of our family. We couldn\u2019t love her more. Buster is recovering.’<\/p>\n
The Vicar of Dibley star has been vocal about her support for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in the past, often sharing an insight into her visits to the rescue centre online.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It comes as\u00a0Keeley\u00a0completely changed up her look as she stepped back in time for her new role.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The actress is starring in the BBC’s\u00a0star-studded production of Gill Hornby’s best-selling and much loved novel Miss Austen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The adaptation, from BAFTA-winning writer Andrea Gibb, sees Keeley star as Cassandra Austen who discovers a stash of Jane Austen’s private letters after her death.\u00a0<\/p>\n Transforming herself for the role, Keeley has ditched her golden choppy bob and dyed her hair a dark brunette for her new character.\u00a0<\/p>\n In newly-released pictures, the star’s locks were styled in a wavy chignon as she kept her makeup to a minimum and in keeping with the 1830 setting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Donning an old fashioned navy long-sleeved dress the star hid her incredible physique within the heavy material for the upcoming drama.\u00a0<\/p>\n Keeley will star alongside Patsy Ferran, Jessica Hynes and\u00a0Mirren Mack in the four-part drama.\u00a0<\/p>\n Directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Aisling Walsh, filming for the literary mystery began in the UK last month with an expected release date scheduled for late 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n It comes as Keeley completely changed up her look as she stepped back in time for her new role in BBC show Miss Austen<\/p>\n Keely ditched her golden wavy choppy bob and glam makeup for the new literary mystery set in the 1830s (pictured 2022)<\/p>\n The plot follows\u00a0Cassandra Austen notoriously burning her famous sister Jane’s letters and reimagines it as a fascinating, witty and heart-breaking story of sisterly love, while creating in Cassandra a character as captivating as any Austen heroine.<\/span><\/p>\n The drama begins in 1830, a while after Jane has died. Cassandra races to see her young friend Isabella (Rose Leslie) who is about to lose her home following her father’s death.\u00a0<\/p>\n Cassandra is ostensibly there to help her friend, but her real motive is to find a stash of private letters which, in the wrong hands, could destroy Jane’s reputation.\u00a0<\/p>\n On discovering them, Cassandra is overwhelmed as she is transported back to her youth.
