Peter Andre’s fears over pregnant Emily ‘I got a call – she’d been rushed to A&E’

While it may be Peter Andre's fifth time preparing to become a father, it's never a predictable journey. Talking exclusively to OK! as he and wife Emily MacDonagh, 34, look to welcoming their third child together, the singer shared that it hasn't been easy.

The couple are set to become parents again in Spring 2024, and Peter, 50, gushed over NHS worker Emily's 'resilience' throughout our exclusive chat. However, he does recall one worrying instance where the soon-to-be mother of three was rushed to hospital.

“It’s been an emotional roller coaster for Emily but she never complains, she just gets on with it,” Peter explained. “There’ve been a couple of accident and emergency stops along the way. I was due to go on stage in Grease in the West End and I got a call saying, ‘Emily’s been rushed to A&E.’ It was really worrying and obviously I immediately went to support her, but thankfully everything was OK.”

The couple, who met in 2010 and got hitched five years later, are already parents to nine-year-old Amelia and Theo, who recently turned seven. While Peter is also father to children Junior, 18, and Princess, 16.

Peter and Emily announced their pregnancy news in October, surprising fans as they shared a snap with ultrasound pictures to Instagram. The smitten couple wrote: "We are delighted to share the news with you all. A new addition to our family in 2024 The kids are so excited, So are we."

While there is a 16-year-age gap between the duo, Peter appears raring to go on his fatherhood journey once again.

As we probed whether he was ready for a world of changing nappies again, he responded: “Absolutely! I’ve got as much energy now as I had in my twenties. I feel fantastic. I’m ready for this.”

With four other kids in the house, it will be all hands on deck when the new arrival gets here, as Peter's eldest daughter Princess recently told OK! she is 'so excited'.

The teenager shared: "I'm honestly so excited…I literally love babies, they're just so cute, so I'm really looking forward to it."

When asked if she's ready for all the newborn nappy changes, she responded with a laugh: "I wouldn't say fully on board" but added: "No, I'm only joking. I feel like I'm a good big sister, and now that I'm older I can help with things and look after the baby."
