Phil Taylor rents home to Robbie Williams’ dad and gives him Christmas dinner
Good neighbour and darts GOAT Phil Taylor generously takes Christmas dinner to Robbie Williams’ dad.
Taylor and singer Williams, who both hail from the Potteries, are good friends, with The Power renting out a house to the Take That star’s entertainer father, Pete Williams, who is also known by his stage name of Conway. Williams Snr, 72, who has Parkinson’s, had a fall back in February, breaking a bone in his spine.
The comedian posted on X (formerly Twitter) at the time: “I had a fall and broke a bone in my spine (yes, it hurts)… and I spent all day today in hospital. I’ve had better days. #Parkinsons is a nuisance” [sic].”

Pete does at least have a supportive neighbour in Taylor to help him out over the festive period. Asked about how he’ll spend Christmas, the 16-time world champion told OBLG: “We have, Karen's [his wife’s] son comes to stay with us. He comes every year and stays with us over the Christmas period and her dad normally comes too. I've lost my parents now, but Karen's dad and brother come up.
“We have a family friend, who is on his own, he comes to have Christmas dinner with as well so he’s not on his own. “Then I’ll go down to Pete’s [Williams] and take him some dinner down to the bungalow which I rent to him and have a couple of hours with him. He isn’t too well you see, so I like to check in on him and spend time with him.

“I'll go down and have a chat with him and watch a bit of TV with him and talk about sh*** basically. Then I’ll say I’ll see you tomorrow on Boxing Day.”
Taylor recently admitted he would be open to investing in Port Vale along with Robbie, who has long been linked with the pair’s local side. Williams said recently: “My big love in football is Port Vale, a very small team in the UK, so somewhere down the line, I’ll have something to do with it.”

Asked he would like to get involved with the League One club too, The Power told talkSPORT: “Would I invest in Port Vale? I don’t know. I’m friends with Robbie, but he’s never mentioned anything to me. But if he asked me, I’d probably consider it, yeah.”
