Corrie’s Charlie Lawson says he ‘almost chinned’ male airport security worker
Corrie star Charlie Lawson slams airport security
Former Coronation Street actor has slammed a male airport security worker for “touching his genitals” while patting him down. The 64-year-old said he almost got into a physical altercation with the worker for being overzealous while carrying out routine inspections.
Charlie took to Instagram to share the incident with his 25,000 followers in a short clip on his feed. He explained: “This happens to me quite a few times because people recognise ya, but I very nearly chinned somebody today.
“I said to that boy, ‘If you touch me there again son, you’ll know all about it’. He accused me of being difficult, I said, ‘No I don’t, but I don’t like you touching my genitals.” The ITV star said that he was subjected to X-ray machines but insisted that the patting down was “intrusive and bang out of order, to be quite frank”.
Clearly frustrated with the situation, the television star went on to refer to the security staff as a “little pr**k,” before signing off. He captioned the post: “I’ve lived with intense security and body searches all my life, but it’s getting a wee bit much these days. Just on occasions.”
Charlie’s followers rushed to the comments section to share their views on the situation at hand. One Instagram user wrote: “Well done for keeping calm. I don’t think I would have,” while another person said: “Well done for keeping the composure.”
