The embarrassing social media snaps the stars DON’T want you to see! From Harry Styles’ hilarious Myspace bio to THOSE Tom Hardy underwear snaps
All of us can relate to looking back on a cringe-inducing social media post from years past – and stars are no different.
Many of today’s most well-known celebrities were pouting and posing along with the rest of us during the earlier days of social media.
While some are unrecognisable from their current selves, others have changed little over the years.
From Tom Hardy’s infamous underwear selfies to Kendall Jenner’s ‘It’s All About Me’ MySpace profile, plenty of stars have interest histories they’d rather forget.
MailOnline takes a look back at some of the photos the stars don’t want you to see.

Harry Styles
Before he found fame on The X Factor as a member of One Direction, Harry Styles had an account on one of the internet’s earliest social media sites: Myspace.
The singer, 29, shared heartwarming childhood photos of himself alongside his older sister Gemma, 32.
In the ‘About Me’ section of his profile, a 13-year-old Harry described himself as ‘athletic’ and said he was looking to make friends on the site.
Introducing himself, the star wrote: ‘Hi I’m Harry. I go to Holmes Chapel Comp and am in yr 9. I live in Holmes Chapel with my mum n my sister’.
Answering the prompt ‘Who I’d like to meet’, Harry wrote: ‘SUPERMAN!!!’
The Sign Of The Times hitmaker also shared some edited selfies of himself in pop art style from his pre-fame days.
In one cringe-inducing post from his earlier days on Instagram, Harry posted a photo of his iPhone battery at 69 per cent and wrote: ‘Haha…’

Tom Hardy
One of the most memorable social media profiles from back in the day belongs to none other than Tom Hardy.
The actor, 45, whose real full name is Edward Thomas Hardy, had a penchant for sharing selfies of himself in his underwear back in the days of Myspace.
His ‘About Me’ section was also a sight to behold, with the film star describing himself as ‘arrogant’ and ‘self-centered’ but also ‘versatile’ and ‘tenacious’.
He wrote: ‘I’m here to live and give whatever it is I can to nourish rather than to take and move on, I’m course and straight, I act for a living now adopting characters for money, it is a language I was born into, I always wanted to be someone else.
‘I’m grateful, arrogant, self centred, tenacious, versatile, honest, honourable, loyal, loving, gentle, consistent, reliable, focussed, prideful, passionate and nuts.
‘I have a head like a disco ball. If I say I’ll do something, unless I absolutely can’t, it gets done.
“I never give up on humanity, I love people. I want to see communities stand up, honest and open, flexing to the fullest of their capabilities and combined usefulness.’
Among the other gems Tom posted included a shirtless photo of him holding up a fake gun and a snap of himself in bright orange briefs.

Kendall Jenner
Before she became one of the world’s most successful supermodels, Kendall was practicing for her future career by posing for heavily edited bedroom selfies.
Clearly inheriting her family’s penchant for the limelight, Kendall’s introductory message on her profile read: ‘It’s All About Me’.
The reality star’s profile picture was an edited snap of herself beaming at the camera as a 16-year-old.
Kendall’s star was already on the rise at this point as she was a cast member on her family’s show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
However, it would be a few more years before she took on a more prominent role on the show and hit the big time as a model.

Kylie Jenner
Kendall’s younger sister Kylie also jumped on board the Myspace bandwagon and looked almost unrecognisable in some of her teenage snaps.
In one photo, the future makeup mogul appeared to sport ’emo’ style hair as she pouted for the camera.
On her profile, the star described herself as ‘happy’ and gave her profile the URL ‘kyliesalollypop’.
Kylie has since perfected the art of social media and is currently the fourth most-followed account on Instafgram with 398million followers.

Taylor Swift
Before becoming a global superstar, Taylor Swift was just like any other teenager posting selfies and videos of herself to Myspace and YouTube.
The first photo the star uploaded of herself to Myspace shows her pouting for the camera while wearing a T-shirt that read: ‘Garland Elementary School Spelling Bee Champion’.
Even back then, Taylor was clearly conscious of her image as one comment sent to her friend shows.
The singer’s pal posted a photo of the star she didn’t like and the star wrote a strongly worded message ordering for it to be taken down.
She wrote: ‘THAT PICTURE OF ME UP AT THE TOP IS GROSS. THAT IS SICK TAKE IT DOWN. It serves NO purpose other than to make me look FUGLY. I want it off NOW bu I loove you’.

Rihanna
Just like the rest of us, Rihanna couldn’t resist the vintage social media filters that were popular back in the day.
The star shared one throwback Christmas photo of herself taken in her native Barbados alongside a friend.
The fashion designer gave the photo rounded edges along with a ‘Merry Xmas’ tag written in a Microsoft Word-style font.
The singer looked typically stunning in the post where she sported cropped honey blonde locks and a pair of hoop earrings.

Zendaya
Before she hit the big time with lead roles in Euphoria and the Spider-Man franchise, Zendaya was a child actor on the Disney Channel show Shake It Up.
In an early social media post from 2012, Zendaya struck her best pout as she posed in a pair of chunky sunglasses (despite being indoors) along with some pink lipstick.
The actress, 26, styled her locks into an updo for the snap while she wrapped up in a black hoodie.
However, the star unfortunately washed herself out with the heavy yellow lighting in the background.
Zendaya captioned the snap: ‘Last night…’
The actress went on to take part in Dancing With The Stars the following year before landing the role of Michelle in Spider-Man in 2017.
