Briton stranded in Portugal after catastrophic oil tanker crash
A British man has been left stranded in Portugal after a catastrophic oil tanker crash left him in a coma on August 9.
Finn Webber, 23, was on a holiday with members of his family when they were involved in the horrific accident.
The group were travelling in two vehicles when they had to perform emergency stops to avoid an accident.
However, an oil tanker wasn’t able to stop in time and ploughed into the cars.
The impact was so severe both Finn and his little brother, Sam, 18, had to be cut free by emergency services.

Several members of the family suffered broken bones including Sam, and sister Meghan, 24, who returned home to Somerset.
Finn’s other sister, Isobel, 15, her mum Ali, and his dad Dan, also suffered injuries.
While some could return home, Finn couldn’t. He suffered head injuries, a broken leg, a dislocated hip, and fell into a coma.
A fundraiser has been set up on Just Giving to try and get him home.
Set up by Iveta Lacy-Hulbert, it has so far raised over £50,000 to try and get Finn home to his family in Combwich.
On the page, the organisers said: “Finn had surgery for a broken femur, dislocated hip and head trauma.
“He is still in a coma and his family are desperate to bring him back for recovery in the UK. The costs to fly him back in this condition are in the region of £40,000.
“Unfortunately, Finn did not have travel insurance and all costs have to be covered by the family.”

Despite his severe injuries, Finn is reportedly coming out of his coma.
The page said: “Edit on August 19 – Finn is starting to show signs of awareness and has opened his eyes several times.
“He followed instructions to squeeze Dad’s hand. He is showing signs of recovery.
“Any donations, of any size are very much appreciated and will go directly towards the costs of Finn’s repatriation home.”
