Can you guess who this reclusive former child star is?

Reclusive former child star looks UNRECOGNIZABLE in rare sighting after turning his back on ‘filth’ show that made him a household name… but do YOU know who it is?

He turned his back on Hollywood and has denounced the show that made him a star as ‘filth’.

At the age of nine he was propelled into the spotlight and became a national celebrity on a smash hit sitcom.

The much-loved show was a favourite for many, earning 46 Emmy nominations (nine won) and two Golden Globe nods.

Yet a decade ago this star dramatically quit acting, claiming he’d experienced a religious awakening.

So do you know who it is?

Who is it? This former child star looked unrecognisable as he was spotted on a rare outing in Los Angeles on Tuesday – but do you know who it is?

That’s right, it’s Two And A Half Men actor Angus T. Jones.

The former child star looked unrecognisable as he was spotted on a rare outing in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

His formerly boyish features were obscured behind a bushy beard as the 29-year-old strolled across a parking lot during a sweltering August day.

Over the past few years he has led a reclusive life, resurfacing only very infrequently into the public eye.

He cut a casual figure during his rare sighting, throwing on a full-sleeved shirt and a beanie despite the soaring temperatures.

Warding off the beating rays with a purple-toned pair of sunglasses, he could be seen using what appeared to be an old-fashioned flip-phone.

He was just nine years old when he landed his role on Two And A Half men alongside Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen.

During his 10 years on the show, Angus saw Charlie plunge into a drug-fueled public flameout that eventually got him fired in 2011 and replaced with Ashton Kutcher.

Around the same time, Angus himself was struggling with the demands of his part, which increasingly included storylines involving drugs and sex.

He confessed in 2012 that he had begun to find the job ‘very awkward,’ noting that ‘I am with these people on set that I have been with since I was eight years old.’

Onstage at PaleyFest, he expressed his discomfiture with ‘doing the adult thing when I am still not an adult. I mean, I am 18, but I am not an adult.’

Later that year, he was baptized into a Christian ministry called the Forerunner Chronicles and announced that he wanted off his sitcom.

He exhorted viewers of Two And A Half Men to ‘stop watching it and filling your head with filth,’ declaring that he himself was extricating himself from the project in order to avoid ‘contributing to the enemy’s plan.’

Angus headed to the University of Colorado at Boulder and initially majored environmental studies – only to later switch to Jewish studies.

By 2015 he agreed to be on the series finale of Two And A Half Men, and by 2016 his feelings about religion appeared to have morphed even further.

‘Over the last three years I’ve been involved with various faith-based organizations Right now, I’m stepping away from the organizational business-model programs,’ he informed People. ‘I’m interested in seeing where I go without an organization putting a stamp of approval on if I’m good or bad or whatever.’

He confessed that filming the Two And A Half Men finale ‘kind of showed me how much I did like it’ and said the ‘door is definitely still open’ for him to act again.

That year he played a small role on Louis CK’s critically acclaimed miniseries Horace And Pete, but he has no IMDb credits to his name since.
