A glamorous Aussie influencer has shared terrifying footage of herself getting attacked by a magpie during her ‘hot girl walk’.
Sarah Jade, 24, recounted the moment on TikTok, saying she was ‘traumatised’ by the encounter with the angry bird who almost pecked her eye out.
In the footage, Sarah is seen cowering in fear after the magpie attacks her in the eye with its beak partially lodged in her eye socket.
‘This would be one of the most traumatic things to happen to me. One, I am scared of birds. Two, it literally went in my eye,’ she told viewers.
‘I actually didn’t realise it went in my eye. I thought it just hit me in the side of the face til I watched back the video. I’m traumatised. I feel sick.’
Sarah admitted she didn’t want to show the footage to her followers, but felt like she had to as a word of warning.
‘It literally went in my eye. I actually can’t. It is so disgusting,’ she said, zooming into the bird pecking at her eye ball.
Peak breeding season for magpies is August through to November, which is usually when swooping begins.

During these breeding months, magpies will defend their nests and chicks and their surrounding territory.
A number of viewers disputed the bird was a magpie, instead identifying it as a magpie lark which are not known to attack people.
Sarah later showed her inflamed eye, saying she was scared about a possible infection from the incident.
