Katherine Ryan hits back at mum-shamers after facing backlash over pictures of her luxurious London home
Katherine Ryan has slammed mum-shamers after she faced a barrage of criticism when she posts snaps of her luxurious London home.
The comic, 40, who is set to let the cameras in with her own family show Parental Guidance, admitted she ‘would never leave the house’ if she listened to the trolls.
In a new interview, Katherine addressed the backlash she has received – from criticism of getting a white sofa when she has three young children to the judgement of having a glass of wine while breastfeeding.
Referencing Sex And The City, the comedian told The Sun: ‘Samantha Jones very famously said, ‘if I worried about whatever b**** in New York said about me, I’d never leave the house’.
‘I feel like I’ll have a glass of white wine while I’m breastfeeding and that’s fine. I’ll have a white sofa because it’s a beautiful sofa.

“I’ll just do whatever I want and just because someone criticises what you’re doing, it doesn’t make them right. It just really rolls off my back.’
Katherine shares two youngsters with childhood sweetheart, Booby Koostra – Fred, two and Fenna Grace, 11 months.
She is also mother to 14-year-old Violet, from a previous relationship.
Katherine posted her living-room transformation to her Instagram last October and shared her white sofa, but mum-shamers were quick to hit out at the presenter for purchasing the pristine piece of furniture in a home of young children.
Katherine’s followers wrote: ‘I mean I love it too but have you sold the children?’ and ‘White sofa with kids, madness’.
The revelation comes after Katherine revealed she turned down going on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here because she is against people ‘glorifying dangerous people like Nigel Farage’.
The mother-of-three jumped on the show’s boycott bandwagon due to ITV’s decision to add politicians, who have ‘directly hurt families’, to the cast.
Katherine told The Metro: ‘I vehemently am against glorifying people like Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage and reducing them to light entertainment fodder when I think that they’re very dangerous people who have directly hurt lots of families.
‘I don’t think that’s a joke, for me, so I wouldn’t be watching. I didn’t watch last year. I take politics quite seriously.’
The former UKIP and Brexit party leader, 59, is believed to have bagged £1.5 million to go into the jungle.

The casting of the GB News star has proved controversial as Nigel is a famously divisive figure, who is known for his right-wing views on immigration and gender pay gaps.
Some fans also said they would boycott the ITV show due to their ‘tone deaf’ decision to have Nigel as a contestant.
Almost 10,000 people used the hashtag ‘Boycott I’m A Celeb’, when the former politician entered the Australian jungle.
