Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson fuels feud rumours with cryptic lyrics about being ‘hurt’
Little Mix's Jesy Nelson has fuelled rumours of a feud with her former band mates after sharing snippets of some new tracks on her TikTok account.
Jesy made her departure from the band three years ago and has reportedly not spoken to her bandmates Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock or Perrie Edwards since.
One of the tracks Jesy shared included lyrics about calling out people who were “spreading rumours” about her.
Jesy sang: “I heard a rumour you were out here spreading rumours, I know you were. So consumed with knowing what I’m doing. I swear I used to know you like nobody else, so that’s maybe why it hurt me more when you tore me down . . . Tryna paint me like I’m stupid. Honey, you never knew me like I know myself.”
This wouldn’t be the first time the former bandmates had taken a swipe through their lyrics, as Little Mix previously released Cut You Off, which was thought to be about Jesy after she left the band.
The lyrics in the song said: “Nothing lasts for ever, but I really thought we could. I know there’ll be tears, but it’s worth a broken heart. If I can’t protect my energy, I gotta cut you off”.
Jesy’s new singing video comes after she told her fans and followers on Instagram that she was taking a career break over the summer to go travelling. The star revealed she had "always wanted" to go travelling, but had "never had the time" to do so.
Jesy shared a text picture to her Instagram grid which read: "Hey guys! So for a long time I've really wanted to go travelling but never had the time to do it. I've got some really exciting things coming up with work and music, but until then I'm gonna take the summer off to travel the world. I'm going to be off my social media for a while, I love you all so much and I'll see you when I'm back".
Jesy is yet to return to her Instagram but has started posting video’s to her TikTok.
Fans were pleased that she had returned to social media as one commented: “ Jesy Nelson is now feeding us with her music. Worth the wait. I love you and will wait till you release then all”, while another added: “JESYYYY, I love this active tik tik era”.
