It comes after Miley got emotional while talking about her famous father mother Tish Cyrus, 56, and father Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, during a special that aired on Thursday on ABC.

During a one-hour show titled Endless Summer Vacation: Continued (Backyard Sessions), the singer promoted the release of her new single Used To Be Young that became available after the special aired.

Huge reaction: Following the song’s release, her fans around the world were quick to take to social media to heap overwhelming praise on the singer

‘Over my short lifetime and my long career, I have expressed myself in a lot of different and unique ways.

‘But one thing that has always stayed consistent is honest storytelling. I’m deeply grateful and appreciative of anyone that takes time to listen to my new song,’ Miley said.

She then looked back at her life starting at the beginning, saying: ‘We’re looking at top 100 country songs in 1992. When I was born, my dad had the number one country song,’ Miley said referencing her father’s hit song Achy Breaky Heart.

‘When I see the numbers, I just see the humans behind it enjoying the music, and I just see people in numbers. A number doesn’t change who I am,’ she added.

Miley then discussed the differences between her and Billy Ray.

‘My dad grew up the opposite of me. I grew up on a sound stage, like, in a house with a family that was super close and all lived under the same roof. And I grew up financially stable and emotionally stable, I think, in my relationships also.

‘And that’s something that my dad didn’t have. I’ve seen how that affects a lot of people that go from having nothing to everything. It’s a really dangerous place,’ Miley said.

‘So I think that’s where me and my dad’s relationship to fame and success is wildly different. Him feeling loved by a big audience impacted him emotionally more than it ever could me.

New single: Miley got emotional while talking about her famous father Billy Ray Cyrus during a special that aired on Thursday on ABC

‘When he feels special or important, it’s like healing a childhood wound, and I’ve always been made to feel like a star,’ she said.

‘It makes me emotional. So, I think that’s the difference. Ah. It got me,’ Miley said as she was overcome with emotion while talking about Billy Ray.

Miley added that she had great memories of singing with her father and learning how he used his voice.

‘I will say that I feel, vocally, my dad was underappreciated,’ Miley said.
