Tom Brady and Irina Shayk could soon take the next step by making their romance ‘official,’ according to insiders, who revealed the pair are comfortable with their connection becoming ‘more permanent’ – but no one wants to make the first move.

The former quarterback, 46, was first linked to Irina, 37, back in July, when he was pictured caressing her face in his Rolls Royce following an overnight rendezvous at his Los Angeles home.

However, the pair have since remained casual, with Tom reportedly wanting to focus on his career and being a father following his split from Gisele Bündchen.

Now, insiders have exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that the pair are aware that their relationship could develop, but they are ‘trying to figure out their pace.’

‘Tom and Irina are hanging out again but aren’t in a full-blown relationship,’ the insider said. ‘They are attracted to each other and love hanging out but are playing the game of hanging out with each other when it is convenient for them. 

‘They keep talking and are comfortable with each other to where it’s going to lead into something more permanent if they allow it.’

The insider said that the pair know they are fighting the inevitable, and continued: ‘It has all the elements where they are fighting a sure thing, someone just has to make the move to make it official but no one wants to be first.

‘When you are in a good relationship and you’re getting to the love stage and you’re thinking when to say, “I love you,” and no one wants to say it earlier than the other person is kind of what is happening with Tom and Irina.’

The source then noted: ‘They know what it can be, they are just fighting it, not in a negative way, they just don’t want to hurt each other’s feelings and are trying to figure out their pace with each other.’

Tellingly, Tom stepped out solo this week as he joined a host of A-listers for the launch of the new upscale resort, Fountainebleau Las Vegas.

The seven-time Super Bowl Champion looked dapper in a classic black suit with a crisp white dress shirt.

While he partied until nearly 2:40am, according to sources, it seems the star only has eyes for Irina – whom he had rekindled his romance with during a night out in Miami just days before.

Tom could be seen picking up the Russian-born supermodel, 37, in his vehicle at a gas station in photos obtained by TMZ. 

The stars first sparked talk of a romance back in July after attending billionaire art heir Joe Nahmad’s wedding with model Madison Headrick in Sardinia, Italy. 

The two proceeded to spend quality time together in cities including L.A. and NYC. 

By October, the relationship had paused owing to Tom not having ‘time for love.’

‘If Tom had more time for love, he would be all about it and would likely still be dating Irina. He really thinks she is great,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively at the time.

‘But Tom is keeping himself busy with his businesses, being a part of the sports teams he owns, getting ready for his commentating job next year, and being a father.

Tom was previously married to Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, from 2009 until their divorce was announced in October 2022

‘It is busy being Tom Brady, for all that he can do, he can’t make days last 36 hours.’ 

The source continued: ‘Everything he does, he wants to give it 110 per cent, he knew he wasn’t able to give his full attention and time to Irina and she is such a good person, that he didn’t want her to feel less than in his world.

‘Maybe they will find each other in the future, but right now, it is easier for them to be friends.’

Tom separated from Gisele, with whom he has children Vivian, 10, and Benjamin, 13, in 2022 after 13 years. Their divorce was finalized in October that year. 

He also has a 16-year-old son, John, with his ex, Bridget Moynahan.
