Peter Andre on the one thing pregnant wife Emily does on Christmas Day
Peter Andre is set to celebrate his final Christmas as a dad of four, with baby number five due in Spring 2024. And as he prepares for Christmas Day, the star has revealed that there is one job which is solely reserved for his wife Emily.
The NHS doctor, 34, will be on cooking duties for the family's Christmas dinner, Peter has shared in his exclusive weekly column. Despite him usually taking the reigns in the kitchen, the singer admits that pregnant Emily has that special touch at Christmas.
He says: "I’m the main chef in our house, but Emily is 100% the best at making our Christmas dinner. I love cooking but she’s an amazing cook and 25 December is her department – she loves to take over on that. I help, of course. I’m a good sous chef.
Continuing to what will be on the menu, Peter explains: "We have turkey with all the trimmings and sides. We also have a full English breakfast, followed by presents, chocolates and movies. We really go to town!
"Emily and I do give each other gifts at Christmas, but most of our giving is focused on the kids. Millie and Theo love writing their wish lists and letters to Santa. Junior and Princess are a bit old for Santa now. It makes it easier for us when they write a list of what they want, so we know what to buy. Hopefully, everyone will be happy with what’s under the tree on Christmas."
While the big day is just around the corner, Peter has left things fairly last minute this year – understandably, as he and Emily are busy focusing on their new arrival on the way.
Taking to his column last week, the reality star admitted that he was yet to start shopping for presents, and to put the Christmas tree up.
He explained: "I can’t believe we’re in the third week of December – where has the time gone? At the time of writing my column, my Christmas tree isn’t even up!
"I promised Emily that I’d take care of it this year – I think she would have put it up in November if she had her way – so that’s on my to-do list now."
Adding how he planned to get into the spirit, he continued: "I’ll definitely have some Christmas songs on in the background. My favourites are all the classics, like Last Christmas by Wham!, Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas? and The Pogues’ hit song, Fairytale Of New York.
"I also need to start buying presents… There’s not enough hours in the day!"
