Travis Barker plants a kiss on Kourtney Kardashian’s baby bump while quoting Forrest Gump in cute Instagram post: ‘Life is like a box of chocolates’

It’s easy to see Kourtney Kardashian and husband Travis Barker are beyond excited and overjoyed to soon be welcoming a child of their own.

The couple have been sharing countless snaps showcasing her growing baby bump since going public with the pregnancy in June.

And on Friday, the reality star, 44, and the rocker, 47, were back at it again, only this time the Blink-182 drummer could be seen giving his wife and their pending bundle of joy a sweet kiss.

Barker also quoted an iconic line from the classic film Forrest Gump (1994), in an effort to sum up his post.

‘Life is like a box of chocolates,’ the musician wrote in the caption, which is only part of the line Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) delivers while sitting at a bus stop.

The adorable Instagram photo captured the moment Barker kissed his wife’s belly. As a result, viewers can only see the back and side of his head that’s covered with an array of tattoos, along with his left hand that’s cradling her baby bump.

Kardashian appears to be laying back on a bed with the buttons of her blue jeans undone, allowing some relief for her bulging belly.

Along with the baby bump kiss picture, the post also includes a shot of Barker dressed like one of The Ramones, complete with a wig; an animated version of the drummer; the real-life musician sitting behind his drum kit; a look at his small white dog; a delicious-looking vegetable pizza; and Barker sharing a laugh with Blink-182 band member Tom DeLonge.

While the Fontana, California native dropped the ‘Life is like a box of chocolates’ line to describe the varying images of his post, the words actually had a much deeper meaning in the epic comedy-drama film when paired with the rest of quote.

Initially in the scene, the woman sitting next to Gump doesn’t respond to Forrest when he first offers her a chocolate.

‘I can eat about a billion and a half of these,’ he then says after she looks his way but doesn’t take him up on the offer.

It’s at this point in the scene where Forrest delivers the full classic line.

In his new post, Barker can be seen looking like a member of The Ramones, complete with a long wig and a t-shirt paying homage to the band Blondie

‘Iconic: Life is like a box of chocolates,’ Barker wrote in the caption of his post, in a reference to the iconic line delivered by Tom Hanks in the film Forrest Gump (1994)

‘My momma always said, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get,’ he tells the nurse, who doesn’t even look his way and keeps on reading her magazine on the bench.

It wasn’t until Forrest asked about her ‘comfortable shoes’ that the woman responded back: ‘My feet hurt.’

Along with Tom Hanks the cast of Forrest Gump also included Robin Wright, Sally Field, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson, and Haley Joel Osment.

Kardashian is reportedly expected to give birth to her first child with Barker in fall of 2023. 

The Kardashians star and mother of three announced she was expecting her fourth child, first with Barker, in June 2023.

Taking into consideration she already had a growing baby bump, it’s likely she was around or even past the three-month mark at that point in the pregnancy.

So, it can be easily assumed that their pending bundle of joy, which was disclosed to be a boy at their gender reveal party, will be an autumn baby that will likely arrive between October and December.

This will be baby number four for Kardashian, who already has three children: sons Mason, 13, and Reign, eight, and daughter Penelope, 10, with her ex-partner Scott Disick.

Barker has three children of his own from his previous relationship with his model ex-wife, Shanna Moakler that includes son Landon, 19, daughter Alabama, 17, and stepdaughter Atiana, 24.
