Manchester United want to add another midfielder

Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News reports that United are keen to add another midfielder before the window ends.

The Red Devils have looked short of quality in midfield in their opening two games, with Casemiro often left isolated by the more attacking Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes.

Luckhurst says that the primary target as of right now is Bayern's Ryan Gravenberch.

However, a move for him depends on whether United can raise funds by selling Donny Van De Beek.

    Owen says penalty

Michael Owen has sided with Bruno Fernandes in believing Man Utd should have had a penalty for handball against Spurs.

He told Stadium Astro: "You will have to ask him [the referee why it was not given]. They have to start giving interviews after the games so they can explain themselves. It is a clear penalty, no excuses for not seeing, no excuses for VAR not seeing that.

"Last week they made a big thing on United not having a penalty against, I want to see what is going to happen this week, if there is going to be the same show they did last week. I want to see if Jon Moss also comes to apologise to our dressing room like they said they did to the manager of Wolves. I hope he is here and he can come."
