HEARTBROKEN families have paid tribute to two women found dead in properties less than a mile apart.
Officers were called to an address in South Bank, Cleveland on Monday evening – where they found the body of Stephanie Alderson, 35.
On Tuesday morning they were also called after Kathleen Broomfield, 38, died at a different address nearby.
Two men and two women have now been arrested and bailed over the "unexplained" deaths.
Stephanie’s mother, Glennis, said: “Stephanie was a much-loved daughter who will be greatly missed.”
Kathleen's brother, Paul Broomfield, said: “There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will be forever in our hearts.”

It comes after the body of Kevin Conway, 41, was also found at an address on Ajax Way on July 15.
Kevin’s sister Claire, on behalf of the family, said: “Kevin was a much-loved son, father, brother, and friend to everyone who knew him. Words cannot describe the devastation of his unexpected passing.”
Cleveland Police said: "A 43-year-old woman, who was arrested previously in relation to the death in July, has been re-arrested in connection to that death as well as the two recent deaths on suspicion of administering a noxious substance.
Three others, two men aged 47 and a 39-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of administering a noxious substance in relation to the death of Kathleen Broomfield.
