Kylie Jenner models her new clothing line Khy – where items cost less than $200 – as she is named WSJ’s Brand Innovator Of The Year: ‘I am King Kylie!’
Kylie Jenner announced her new clothing line named Khy on Tuesday.
And the next day the 26-year-old cosmetics queen was named Brand Innovator Of The Year by WSJ. Magazine for its annual Innovators Issue and Awards.
The issue honors the year’s groundbreaking visionaries from a range of disciplines, including fashion, film, art, entertainment, design and music.
WSJ. Magazine’s November 2023 Innovator’s Issue, out on newsstands November 11, has seven covers representing each of this year’s groundbreaking award recipients – and Kylie is on one of them with director Martin Scorsese on another.
In an interview with Rory Satran, Jenner talks the inspiration of Khy. ‘The whole line is really inspired by my personal wardrobe, and the different moods that I’m in,’ Jenner assured.
She describes the first Khy drop as very ‘King Kylie—who I am at my core.’

Her daughter Stormi helped Jenner’s style evolve. ‘My daughter has totally taught me a lot more about myself, and seeing myself in her has changed everything. I’ve had so much growth and am just embracing natural beauty,’ she said.
‘I’m teaching her about mistakes that I made and making sure she knows she’s just perfect exactly how she is.’
The collection has a budget-friendly price point – all items are under $200.
She worked with Popular Culture’s Emma and Jens Grede, who have helped Kim’s Skims and sister Khloé Good American brands.

The makeup mogul, 26, announced her new fashion project via her Instagram on Tuesday, with a sizzling snap captioned, ‘meet khy.’
In the photo the reality TV star — who’s currently dating actor Timothee Chalamet — was seated on the floor, wearing a long black leather trench coat with undone zippers on the sides showing off her toned legs.
The raven-haired beauty accessorized her outfit with bright red pumps, and wore soft bronze makeup and dark red lipstick on her pout.
The Kardashians star also tagged Khy’s official Instagram account, which features two snaps of her as well as a link to the brand’s official website.

New business venture: The makeup mogul revealed her new fashion project on Tuesday, as she launched the brand’s official Instagram account with a number of new snaps
The first snap shows Kylie from the back, wearing the same dark oversized trench coat, which is belted at the waist.
The garment features a high collar and large vintage-style sleeves.
‘Coming soon. sign up at khy.com,’ reads the caption.
The next image shows a blurry shot of her walking down the street in the background, with the brand’s name spelled out in large white letters.
The Instagram bio for the page reads ‘coming soon.’
The brand also posted a short clip of Kylie modeling the trench coat. The video began with her faced away from the camera, before turning to the side.
In the clip the mom-of-two had her black tresses slicked into a chic bun.
Meanwhile the website for the new brand features the shot of Jenner from the back, and offers users the option to sign up for ‘early access.’
The website does not state the date of the official release, or the early access release.

Kylie’s 398M followers were thrilled with the announcement, with her best friend Anastasia Karanikolaou commenting ‘yupppp.’
‘Is this an alter ego?’ another inquired in regards to the brand’s name.
‘Please be kind to our pockets,’ someone else added, though the price range for the brand is currently unknown.
Celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero added, ‘Nice to meet you khy!’
Someone else speculated whether Jenner’s announcement had something to do with what her niece, North West, said during a social media livestream.
‘Is this the brand north was talking about on live? hahahaa,’ the user asked.
Puck News previously reported in July that Jenner was working with Emma and Jens Grede – the married business couple who work with her sister Kim Kardashian on her successful brand SKIMS, as well as he sister Khloe Kardashian on her Good American brand.
Though Jenner is most known for her makeup empire, she has previously collaborated with her sister Kendall Jenner for a fashion line with PacSun back in 2012.
Jenner launched her lip kits three years later, taking the cosmetic industry by storm.
Legacy: As for the future of the brand, she previously shared that daughter Stormi, four, might take over one day. ‘Maybe she will take over Kylie Cosmetics one day? Only if she wants to,’ she shared in an interview with tmrw magazine
The brand’s success propelled her into making the cover of Forbes as the ‘youngest self-made female billionaire.’
In 2019 she sold a majority stake of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty.
As for the future of the brand, she previously shared that daughter Stormi, four, might take over one day.
‘Stormi is my legacy. I’m raising her to be smart and kind and driven. Maybe she will take over Kylie Cosmetics one day? Only if she wants to,’ she shared in an interview with tmrw magazine.
The mogul shares Stormi and one-year-old son Aire with rapper ex boyfriend Travis Scott, 32.
She has since moved on with Call Me By Your Name star Timothee, to whom she was first romantically linked in April.
