Sick texts of dog rapist who had sex with 39 puppies reveal warped state of mind

Sick messages have emerged showing the inner workings of the mind of Adam Britton – the depraved British crocodile expert who admitted around 50 charges of bestiality involving the rape, torture and killing of dogs.

Zoologist Britton, 52, pleaded guilty at Darwin's Supreme Court, Australia, on Monday (September 25). He also admitted to four counts of accessing and transmitting child abuse material.

Britton reportedly abused at least 39 dogs before his arrest in April 2022, torturing the animals on camera and sharing the sick footage online. His arrest came after someone noticed a dog in one of his videos was wearing an orange City of Darwin leash.

The court heard how he had a "sadistic sexual interest" in animals, particularly dogs, and online messages presented in court showed the horrifying extent of his sick obsession.

Britton operated two accounts on social media platform Telegram between 2020 and 2022 under the names 'Monster' and 'Cerberus'. There, he would share the disgusting bestiality videos.

MailOnline reports Britton described himself as a "zoosadist" in messages online and admitted being "sadistic to small animals" from the age of around seven or eight. He said he "repressed" these feelings, but added they reemerged "in my fantasies" in his 20s and 30s.

He wrote: "I became a zoo[sadist] when I was… well, probably about 12. I vaguely remember being interested in animals before then, but that's when it got sexual. I started fence jumping when I was 13 or 14 and molesting horses."

Britton gave advice to other sickos on how to talk to dog owners when offering to take custody of their pets. He encouraged them to have a "sob story" and "not [be] creepy". In other messages, he described how the children of the families he adopted the dogs from would cry as he took their pets away.

In conversation with a user referred to in court documents as Deleted Account 11, Britton described the guilt he felt when he first killed a dog. He said he got over it by killing more.

He said: "There was some regret afterwards even, but it passed quickly and I did another a week later. And that one I did not regret. And then another, and another etc." In response, Deleted Account 11 called him "inspirational".

In another interaction, when another user offered to send Britton a video of a baby being abused, he replied: "Curious to see that one. I mean generally it's not my thing, but sometimes you know… ;)"

Britton was arrested in April last year after a video he uploaded in March was referred to the NT Animal Welfare Branch and subsequently the police. He will be sentenced on December 13.
